An Ennis pensioner is pleading with the government to increase the state pension as a short-term measure, to allow those with increased household bills meet their costs.
Eddie Kirby from the Summerhill area of the county town has a number of underlying health issues and has been advised by his GP to stay warm during his isolation for the virus outbreak.
However, Eddie’s resources are limited and he is now concerned about the ESB bill coming down the line.
