An Ennis mother is thanking Clare’s emergency services for ensuring her daughter’s birthday was a memorable one.
Martina Whelan’s daughter Chlíodhna has been isolating since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic due to an underlying health condition and turned 21 yesterday.

Members of the ambulance service, fire service and An Garda Siochána from this county all drove past the Whelan household to wish Chlíodhna a happy birthday in spectacular fashion.
Martina says she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
