An Ennis councillor claims the government is not appreciating the sacrifices being made by family carers since the onset of the pandemic.
Minister Stephen Donnelly had been accused of a ‘slap in the face’ to caregivers in the home as they will wait longer to receive a COVID-19 vaccine than professional carers.
In correspondence to Councillor Ann Norton, seen by Clare FM, Minister Donnelly’s office suggest all family carers will be ‘vaccinated in the group that is appropriate to them’ in the government’s rollout plan.
