Ennis Businesses Call For Action Over Buskers

Ennis businesses are calling for action over the number of buskers flouting rules on busking the streets.

Bye-laws banning the amplification of music came into effect two years ago and since then, it’s up to the Gardaí or authorised personnel to enforce the legislation.

But the latest meeting of the municipal district has heard that musicians who have been playing very loud music on the towns streets, particularly on O’Connell Street are not being approached by the authorities.
