Clare’s County Dog Warden is warning that there will be a substantial number of fines for dog fouling handed out in the coming months unless dog owners take responsibility.
The issue has come up again, with last week’s Shannon Municipal District meeting hearing that many parts of the county have seen increased instances recently.
Clare County Council is now to take a harsher approach against those who are not cleaning up after their dogs, with random spot checks and fines to be issued.
