Enda Kenny has told Fine Gael TDs they'll have a free vote on any future changes to Ireland's abortion laws.

Last night the Taoiseach said his party would NOT directly campaign in the next election with a promise to repeal the 8th amendment, which he called a 'complex and sensitive issue'.
But in a major policy change, the Mr Kenny said the matter would first be referred to a public convention – similar to the one that was proposed the referendum on marriage equality.
And he said when that forum reports back Fine Gael members would have a free vote on any changes to abortion laws.
