One Person Taken To Hospital Following Clare Road Crash

One person has been taken to hospital following a road crash in Clare last night.

It’s understood a car overturned on the northbound carriageawy of the N18 between Cratloe and Bunratty at around 9.30.

Units from Clare County Fire Service, Ambulance, Gardaí and maintanance staff from Transport Infrastructure Ireland responded to the incident.


The driver of the car was assessed by ambulance paramedics at the scene, after which she was transported to University Hospital Limerick for treatment for injuries which are not believed to be serious.

The route safely re-opened shortly before 11pm.
