Eight new officers have been hired to man security lines at Shannon Airport.
They have recently undergone four weeks of training and are now certified by the Irish Aviation Authority.

Shannon Airport Group says the new members of the Airport Search Unit will help ahead of a busy summer schedule.
The new unit members are from Clare, Limerick and Cork.
