Eight people are to appear in court this morning following a crackdown on alleged boy racer activity in the North Clare area.
A woman and seven men – aged from 17 to 25 – were arrested at locations in Clare, Limerick, Cork and Laois earlier this month following an intelligence-led operation into a number of late night rallies at various locations around the county.

At the time, Gardaí said that up to 70 cars gathered for one unofficial motoring event between Lahinch and Ballyvaughan in early March.
The eight people will appear before Ennis District Court this morning.
