Clare’s representative of Ireland’s largest teacher’s union says having up-to-date public health advice available for schools is vital to ensure they re-open as planned in January.
It’s after the Department of Education confirmed a review of public health supports for schools is to be carried out during the Christmas break.
The review will address reporting mechanisms and response times in the case of outbreaks in schools.
