An East Clare woman who says she was embarrassed to inform teachers of her hearing impairment at an early age is urging others in her position to not let challenges hold them back.
Siobhán Schous from Kilmore was born without a bile duct, leading to several surgeries at Crumlin’s Children’s Hospital and significant hearing loss, and required her to wear hearing aids.

Siobhán has now graduated with a Masters in Mental Skills and Mental Health in Sports and Exercise and intends to set up her own business.
