East Clare Woman Who Suffered Miscarriage Makes Fresh Calls For Paid Leave For Pregnancy Loss

An East Clare woman who suffered a miscarriage in 2019 is making fresh calls for paid leave for women who’ve suffered pregnancy loss.

A bill proposing the move has been debated in the Seanad after being introduced by the Labour Party.

If enacted, the legislation would allow women who’ve experienced an early miscarriage to access up to 20 days paid leave.
