Upgrade works at a Clare walking trail have received Government funding to the tune of €90,000.
The allocation from the Department of Rural and Community Development will cover car park improvement works and the upgrade of 1.4 kilometres of the trail at Woodpark in Mountshannon.

The department has also confirmed that Coillte’s maintenance list for 2026 includes minor trail repairs, verge cutting and spot tree surgery at Woodpark and Kilrush.
Additionally, the list includes general trail maintenance and surfacing improvements within the forest recreation areas of Cratloe and Ballycuggeran.
