Three Clare charities are to receive funding of 155,000 euro in an announcement that looks set to open up more transport opportunities for their service users.
Under the CLAR Scheme, The Irish Wheelchair Association will receive 67,000 euro, Enable Ireland are in line for 50,000 euro and Slainte an Chlair will receive 38,000 euro.
Each group will put the money towards the purchase of wheelchair accessible vehicles for those who are using their services.

This brings the total allocation of CLAR funding in this county so far this year to over half a million euro.
