€1.7 million worth of Clare properties sold at Allsop auction

1.7 million euro has been spent on a host of Clare properties in an auction in Dublin.

A host of residential and commercial properties have been sold this week, but no buyer was found for some high-profile lots.

A pub, petrol station and convenience store in Ruan was one of four commercial lots in Clare which went unsold in the Allsop event at the RDS.

There was also no transactions for three others in Ennis, but a number of commercial properties did sell including a unit at the Westgate Business Park, which fetched a county-high figure of 575 thousand euro.

Two other businesses in Ennis – a retail and office building on Abbey Street, and another pub at Merchant's Square sold for 285 and 235 thousand respectively, while 45 thosuand euro was spent on a retail unit in Kilrush.

A total of over 550 thousand euro was spent on Clare homes earlier this week, meanwhile.

127,500 euro was paid for a house at Woodlands on the Kilrush Road, Ennis in the most valuable Clare transaction.

Properties in Lahinch, Ennis, Sixmilebridge, Killaloe and Quin also went under the hammer, while lots for other properties in Ennis, Doonbeg and Corofin were all withdrawn.
