243 people left Clare’s dole queues in August.
The joblessness indicator experienced a reduction in all parts of the county, and in some parts of the county, is at its lowest level in a decade.
In August, there were 5,138 people claiming some form on unemployment assistance in Clare.
The CSO says this marks a monthly reduction of 243, when compared with July, while it is also down by over 700 when compared with the same time last year.
In the past month, Ennis has seen a drop-off of 66 in the number of people signing on, while these figures also show a significant reduction in Clare’s tourism hotspots.
67 people left the dole queues in East Clare, while the reductions in both North and West Clare were 55.
In both of these areas, the live register is now at its lowest level in over a decade.
