‘Don’t End Your Career Before It Starts’ – Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer Warns Students

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer is appealing to students not to let drug use end your career before it starts.

Taking drugs such as Cannabis, Cocaine, Ketamine and MDMA is a criminal offence and Sergeant Triona Brooks is warning it can also lead to the risk of addiction, loss of career opportunities, under-achievement and international travel restrictions.

While she’s warning that taking un-prescribed ‘study’ drugs or sleeping pills can lead to anxiety, addiction and psychosis and that multiple or poly-drug use is extremely dangerous and increases your risk of overdose or death.
