Divisions Emerge At Banking Inquiry

Divisions have emerged among members of the Banking Inquiry over David Drumm's offer to give evidence by videolink.

The inquiry committee are getting legal advice on the proposal from the former Anglo Irish Bank boss, who's living in the US, but has been directed to attend the inquiry next Wednesday.

Earlier Sinn Fein finance spokesperson Pearse Doherty, signalled the committtee should consider the video link option.

But his Fianna Fail counterpart Michael McGrath is totally opposed, and says Mr Drumm must give evidence in person.
