Development Of East Clare Tourism ‘Will Not Be Overnight Success’

Tourism providers in East Clare are being warned that developing the region to overseas visitors won’t be an overnight success.

Increasing efforts are being made by communities such as Killaloe, Scarriff and other areas around Lough Derg to boost tourism numbers there.

Clare’s coastal areas have traditionally seen a much larger footfall in peak season but it’s hoped that the development of greenways and walking trails in the east will attract niche visitors.
