Representatives from job creation agencies are to be invited to address local representatives in a renewed focus on employment in County Clare.

At their meeting last evening, members of Clare County Council were told of the affects of emigration on West and North Clare, amid claims that rural areas have been decimated in recent times.
Representatives of the IDA, Shannon Development and Enterprise Ireland will now be asked to brief Councillors on their plans to tackle Clare’s unemployment, which currently stands at just under 10,000.
Kilrush representative Gabriel Keating feels more foreign direct investment can and should be brought to Clare.
