Clare County Council has signed the contract to appoint a design team for the development of The Cloister in Ennis under the Town Centre First Heritage Revival Scheme.
AXO Architects alongside Molloy Quantity Surveyors and Interactive Project Managers have been installed to lead the next stage of the project.
The development, which received almost €7m in funding last year, will feature a tourism visitor experience in Ennis Friary which will include exhibition and orientation spaces along with community and education areas.
In a statement to Clare FM, Chief Executive of Clare County Council, Gordon Daly said the project will ‘strengthen the visitor offering in Ennis and provide flexible spaces that will support community, education and enterprise activity’.
