The Children’s Minister has expressed hope that the decision to close the School Counselling Grants Scheme can be overturned.
It’s after Clare Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley flagged the intention to shut down the scheme, a move which he called “an attack” on services in schools.
Minister Katherine Zappone has now said that she will meet with child and family agency Tusla to raise concerns over the loss of the scheme.
