Demonstration In Ennis Over Government Inaction On Overcrowding Crisis

A demonstration highlighting what's been described as the Government's inaction on the overcrowding crisis at hospitals is being held in Ennis this weekend.

The protest, which is being held by Sinn Féin as part of a national day of action follows the decision by nurses to embark on industrial action over continued overcrowding in Emergency Departments throught the country.

The party's general election candidate for Clare says the decision to go on strike was not an easy one for frontline health workers.

The Protest takes place at the O'Connell Monument in Ennis from 11 o'clock tomorrow morning and Noeleen Moran says its an opportunity to send a strong message to the Government.
