An Post says there may be delays to services today – after a suspect package was found at their Portlaoise centre.

The building was evacuated and the Army Bomb Disposal Unit called in after the discovery of the parcel by customs officials who also work at the mail centre
The package was subsequently found to contain historical ammunition which the army say were inactive.
Work resumed at the centre last night but An Post says it regrets that due to the evacuation there may be some delays in the processing of mail.
