Data Breach at University of Limerick

The University of Limerick is investigating how private student data ended up on its website.

It's reported that students who had applied to the college for a Student Assistance Fund grant had their applications posted online over the weekend.

Bank details and financial data was among the information that was posted, but it has since been removed.

The Data Protection Commissioner has received a complaint while the University says a review is underway to determine how the alleged breach took place.
