A cyclist has been injured in a cycling event in North clare today
The man has been airlifted to Cork University Hospital after coming off his bike at Fanore around 10.30 this morning.
It’s understood he was participating in the Tour de Burren – and suffered head injuries in the fall.
He was taken to Cork Airport by the Shannon-based coastguard helicoptor, in an emergency operation co-ordinated by the coastguard radio centre on Valentia Island.
