An MEP for this region says this country needs a wake-up call on our energy storage facilities.
Ireland South MEP Sean Kelly been pressing for an LNG storage terminal in the Shannon Estuary for some years now.
Currently, there are 21 operational gas terminals in the EU and a further 20 at planning stage.
