Members of an illegal encampment which had been established in Ennis have vacated the site.
It’s after residents living near to the privately owned site complained of issues including widespread littering and a lack of adherence to covid 19 guidelines
The residents, living in the Castle Rock estate, had received the support of Clare Councillors when the matter was raised in their meeting on Monday.

It’s not known why those in the illegal encampment opted to move on last night, but Gardaí had attended the site hours earlier.
