Save Ennis Town Group Drafts Open Letter To Councillors Voicing Opposition Towards Ennis 2040 Plans

A member of the ‘Save Ennis Town’ community group claims the Ennis 2040 plan would be more suited to New York than to Ennis.

The recently-formed group, which is made up of community, business, retail and political representatives, has drafted an open letter to Councillors stating its opposition towards the Ennis 2040 plans.

The letter asks Councillors to vote against any motion that transfers land and power to Ennis 2040 DAC, until a better plan focusing on regenerating vacant and derelict sites is developed, rather than placing a focus on building commercial developments on riverside car parks.
