North Clare Solidarity Network Insists Ireland Can’t Forget Refugee Roots

The North Clare Solidarity Network insists this country must honour its moral obligation to help people escaping dire circumstances.

Last night the group held what it described as ‘a welcoming party’ for the expected arrival of International Protection Applicants to a property in the townland of Scool near Dysart.

It coms as a group of residents have begun a demonstration on the approach road to the house, as they believe their locality is ‘too rural’ to safely and adequately accommodate incoming refugees.
