Man Killed In Lisdoonvarna Last Week To Be Laid To Rest Today

A 78-year-old man who was killed in a North Clare town last Friday is to be laid to rest this morning.

John, better known as Jack O Neill was found dead in unexplained circumstances in Lisdoonvarna last week having ran a B&B in the town for a number of years.

His wife Chris passed away last summer and he is survived by his sons Sean and Graham.

John will be laid to rest in the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Doolin after a funeral mass in Corpus Christi Church, Lisdoonvarna, which gets underway at 11am.

Local Fine Gael Councillor Joe Garrihy says the O Neill family is hugely respected in the area.
