Findings Of Report Into Provision Of Clare CAMHS Services Slammed As Unacceptable

A Clare member of the Oireachtas Health Committee has described the findings of a report into the provision of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in this county as unacceptable.

It comes as The Mental Health Commissions latest annual review of CAMHS delivery in Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary identified 24 areas of concern.

Among the findings, was a shortage of space available to patients and clinical staff at the Ennis facility, while the number of people on a waiting list with the West Clare team jumped from 12 to 91 in the space of eight months.
