Ennis Woman Urges Clare People To Be Mindful Of Obstacles For Blind Or Visually Impaired

A Clare woman, who began to lose her sight in her late thirties, has described the last five years as an emotional rollercoaster, saying daily obstacles of living are proving very hard to deal with at times.

The National Council for the Blind of Ireland has launched its Clear Our Paths’ campaign, which aims to creating a safer and cleaner environment on our streets for people who are blind or vision impaired to get around independently.

They’re encouraging people to be mindful of obstacles such as cars parked on footpaths, dog fouling, overhanging branches and wheelie bins and remove them to ensure the footpaths are safe and clean.
