The draft master plan for Shannon town centre is to be made available for public viewing today by the local authority.

The initiative has been a number of years in the making, with €100,000 allocated to it by the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund.

It’s believed the draft version of the plan, which will be available for public submissions until August 20th, contains provisions for a civic community centre as called for by the Shannon Venue.
