Donald Trump will touch down at Shannon airport later today before travelling to his five-star hotel and golf resort in Doonbeg.
The former US President has spent the last few days at his Turnberry Golf resort in Scotland.
Donald Trump will arrive in Shannon Airport on his private jet this evening.
He’ll spend tonight and tomorrow at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg and it’s expected he will get in a round of golf while here tomorrow.
His officials say the trip is private and no members of the Irish Government will greet Mr.Trump when he arrives.
The former US President had to cancel an earlier trip last month, when he was arraigned in New York, after his indictment following an investigation related to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Clare’s Fianna Fail TD, Cathal Crowe says while people are divided on Donald Trump’s visit, they recognise the financial contribution he has made in Doonbeg and the jobs created at his hotel and golf links.
