Clare Indpendent TD Says ‘Enough Dáil Time Taken Up’ With Paschal Donohoe Election Expenses Scandal

A Clare Independent TD claims Dáil time has been wasted on extensively discussing Paschal Donohoe’s election expenses.

The Public Expenditure Minister made a second statement before the Dáil yesterday, fielding questions from the opposition in relation to his declared expenses in the 2016 and 2020 campaigns.

Minister Donohoe confirmed a breach of election rules after Fine Gael in Dublin Central “unknowingly” received an unauthorised corporate donation of €434 in 2020.

It has also been revealed the  Public Expenditure Minister didn’t state his directorship of a communications company in Dublin when he was a senator in 2009.

Scariff-based TD Michael McNamara says discussions on important issues have been forsaken in favour of point-scoring against the government.
