Crisis Emergency Plan Urgently Needed To Tackle Homelessness

Midwest Simon insists a crisis emergency plan is urgently needed to tackle homelessness.

It comes as new figures show there were 387 homeless adults across the counties of Clare and Limerick in September, a rise of 30% on the same time last year.

Nationally, there were over 11,000 people accessing homeless services, the highest number ever recorded and Midwest Simon’s CEO says this doesn’t include those couch-surfing or staying with relatives.
