Gardaí are investigating following an attempted armed robbery of the Post Office in Sixmilebridge.
A man with a scarf over his face entered the shop this morning armed with a weapon and demanded money from the staff.
At around 11:25 this morning, the man entered the Post Office armed with a weapon.

He had a dark scarf covering his face and he threatened staff and demanded money form them.
The workers there, however, challenged him and the man left empty handed and fled in a silver saloon-type car.
