NPHET is reporting a decline in COVID cases in all areas of Clare over the past two weeks.
The latest local electoral area statistics show North Clare has one of the lowest rates of COVID in Ireland, while the Shannon area has the highest incidence rate of the virus in this county.
It’s still below the national average, however.
The Ennistymon electoral area is one only of a handful of areas in Ireland which have reported fewer than five cases in the two weeks to Monday.
The exact number is not released by NPHET.
East Clare, meanwhile, has seen only six cases in the same timeframe.
There were 13 diagnosed cases in West Clare over the fortnight in question, as well as a further 22 in the greater Ennis area.
In Shannon, there was a county-high of 36 cases reported, but even here the incidence rate of the virus has fallen, and it remains below the national average.
Last night, NPHET announced seven new cases in Clare.
