Clare has been named one of the Best Places To Go In Europe by a prestigious travel publication.
Condé Nast Traveler has published its list of recommendations on the spots making waves on each continent, that are deserving of your time and attention next year, if you’re thinking about taking a trip.
It says that Clare, which is long seen as the home of traditional Irish music, is quietly becoming the hub of a grassroots revival of other skills and an inspiring example of ecotourism along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.
In it’s round-up, Condé Nast Traveler says visitors will find “eco-conscious stays and a celebration of traditional crafts” and that “you’re still never far from a toe-tapping céilí and the craic”.
Clare has been listed alongside the likes of Athens Riviera, Marseille in France, Vienna, Geneva and the Faroe Islands.
