Council Says It Appreciates ‘Frustration’ With Lengthy Social Housing List

Clare County Council says it appreciates ‘many households are frustrated’ by the lack of social housing supply in this county.

The local authority says 1,300 households are in need of accommodation in Clare, with allocations made on the basis of the Council’s Social Housing Allocation Scheme which was signed off on last month.

Government statistics released last year showed a major fall-off in the number of new homes delivered here in 2020.
