Clare County Council is to extend the temporary road closure at O Connell Street until January 2024 to continue to facilitate pedestranisation measures.
The local authority intends to apply the measures between 11.30am and 4.30pm seven days a week.
Diversions are to be in place at O Connell Square and the junction with Bank Place, with no through road from Abbey Street for the duration of the closure.
