Council Accused Of Wasting Money On Consultants For Doolin Service Centre

Clare County Council is being accused of wasting €350,000 on consultants for a service centre in Doolin that has yet to come to fruition.

The money has been earmarked for the centre, which forms part of the Doolin Strategic Master Plan and Enhancement Strategy for the village, and seeks to improve amenities across the board there.

But despite consultants being appointed in early 2016, there’s still no sign of the centre there and the consultants are now being called on to appear before West Clare Councillors.
