Visiting restrictions have been extended at Ennis General Hospital following an outbreak of COVID-19 in a second ward at the facility.
The UL Hospitals Group says visiting is not permitted in either the Fergus or Burren inpatient ward after a number of cases were confirmed there in recent days.
Exemptions to the restrictions are in place for those assisting confused patients or who are visiting those at end of life care on a one person per patient basis.

The Group says it regrets any inconvenience caused by the move and that it will continue to review developments on a daily basis.
