Post Offices Open Early To Pensioners To Help During Coronavirus

Post Offices across Clare opened their doors at 8am this morning to allow pensioners to collect their pension and conduct business outside of peak times.

The measure is one of a number that has been introduced by An Post for the foreseeable future as the country continues to grapple with the COVID-19 outbreak.

A two-week pay system for welfare payments is also being introduced, so that customers only need to attend their post office every second week, in a bid to cut down on numbers coming in.
