Numbers On PUP In Clare Drop Below 10,000 For First Time Since January

The number of people availing of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in Clare has dropped below 10,000 for the first time since January.

9,803 people in this county have received the government support this week, which is a reduction of more than 450 on last week’s total.

It’s the lowest number of people claiming the PUP in Clare since the week of January 18th.

Nationally, the number of people receiving the payment continues to reduce, with 403,000 claimants this week – a drop of more than 17,000 on seven days prior.
