Clare Leaving Cert Students Issue Exam Plea To Education Minister

A group of Clare Leaving Cert students are appealing to the Education Minister to reverse the decision to postpone the end of school exams.

A survey of 136 sixth years in St Caimin’s Secondary School in Shannon revealed that three quarters of the students there are unhappy with the postponement, with many citing concerns over the impact on mental health and their overall results.

The state exams have been slated to begin in late July or early August now, rather than the start of June as per tradition, a move which impacts 61,000 school-leavers nationwide.
