Conway Calls For Clare Bus Contract Decision To Be Reversed

Clare’s Oireachtas members are due to meet with the National Transport Authority today on the planned transfer of part of the Clare Bus operations to Limerick Local Link.

While the NTA insists any change wouldn’t threaten the service, fears have been expressed locally that the transfer of the Co-Ordination Unit for Clare to Newcastle West will see its quality suffer.

Political pressure has been mounting on Transport Minister Shane Ross to stall the process, though he has previously said he can’t get involved.
