Consultants have been appointed to design new shoreline facilities at Doolin Pier.
The development of a visitor facility has been planned at the 6 million euro pier, as well as upgraded access routes, footpaths, parking, lighting and waste facilities.

These are to replace the current temporary structures and it's hoped the project will be completed by the summer of 2019.
A public consultation process will begin shortly and Chair of the West Clare Municipal District Christy Curtin is encouraging all parties to work together to ensure the project comes to fruition as soon as possible.
