The CEO of the Construction Industry Federation has called for urgent action to be taken to tackle Clare’s wastewater deficits.
There are currently 50 towns and villages in this county that aren’t connected to the sewerage network.

Plants such as Clareabbey, meanwhile, are currently operating above capacity, with major housing developments also stalled in Ennistymon, Kilkishen and Lahinch in recent times due to constraints.
Andrew Brownlee says the lack of clarity on when projects can happen is holding the industry back.
